US President Donald Trump publicly criticized the protest in the NFL prelude to the national anthem. He said on Friday night that he wanted the players to be fired and encouraged fans who had been offended as a result of the protest to leave the pitch.
Trump published the speech at a political rally in Huntsville, Alabama. He said, "Are you not happy to see that the boss of an NFL team said to the players who did not respect our flag saying, 'Let the man leave the course immediately! Go out! He was fired! He was fired!'
